| EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR SUPPORT SERVICES EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, SUPPORT SERVICES Our client has been providing leadership in health care on behalf of Manitobans since it was first established by the Grey Nuns in 1871. The Opportunity: Under the direction of the President/CEO, the Executive Director, Support Services will demonstrate a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of of our client, and will serve as a member of the Executive Management Team. The Executive Director, Support Services will direct and lead the integration and coordination of Support Services, which involves Corporate components such as: Capital Planning, physical aspects of Campus Development and Capital Equipment; Support/Logistic components such as Facility Operations and Property Management; and Clinical Components such as: Pharmacy, Laboratories and Diagnostic Imaging. This will all occur within the context of a rapidly evolving healthcare environment. Key duties will include: · Foster a culture of lean transformation in problem-solving and elimination of non-value added process. · Further develop the Program Management model with a focus on the integration and coordination of support provided to patient care activities. · Develop mechanisms to facilitate effective communication and cooperation in the provision of services. · Use a team management approach, develop, communicate and implement policies, procedures, standards and practices related to patient and service outcomes which comply with professional standards. · Continue to develop a collaborative and participative relationship with WRHA Senior Management. · Provide leadership in the formation and achievement of organizational goals and strategic direction. · Develop pro-active, cooperative and innovative strategic partnerships to enhance relationship building with both internal and external partners. · Provide formal and informal counsel to the Board and subcommittees of the Board. · Hold primary responsibility and accountability for annual Portfolio budget preparation and ongoing analysis of costs, financial trends and variances. · Develop new initiatives to ensure that Support Services and St. Boniface General Hospital evolve in response to identified trends and emerging issues in health care. The Ideal Candidate: As the ideal candidate, you possess a graduate degree in a related field along with five (5) to seven (7) years progressive senior management experience in facilities management. A suitable combination of education and experience will be considered. In addition to a sound working knowledge of planning concepts related to budgetary, staffing, quality and strategic initiatives, you possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and have a history of building constructive and effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You are experienced in lean practices, and will excel in a model currently in transformation. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of competent leadership skills and the ability to work professionally with individuals at all levels, both internally and externally. Along with passion, energy and enthusiasm, you are able to adapt readily to a rapid and changing environment while maintaining a focus on service to clients/patients.
