| Internal Control Analyst Look beyond the numbers and investigate how it is done. Do you enjoy reviewing processes and making recommendations? Being a key member of a team that drives organizational processes? Our client is looking for an Internal Control Analyst. Responsibilities of this role will include working with a variety of managers to understand departmental processes and procedures, document processes and controls, testing and preparing written reports of findings. This is a key role to fulfilling ongoing reporting requirements for this publicly accountable organization. Duties include: • Designing and executing audit plans • Performing interviews regarding the processes in place, changes made and procedures that are followed • Documenting processes in both a written and flowcharted format • Indentify related risks and controls as they relate to audit assertions • Testing controls and making appropriate recommendations • Reporting findings to senior management. Successful candidates will have a natural curiosity to uncover procedures, identify key areas and make recommendations. You will partner with all departments for the common good of the organization, making recommendations as appropriate. You have a minimum of 3 years full cycle accounting experience. Familiarity with AR, AP, Payroll, Capital Assets and Cash Management are key. You have completed a minimum of level 3 in a professional accounting program (CMA/CGA). You have impeccable written and verbal communications skills. This position works with individuals at all levels of the organization – clear, concise and complete communication is an absolute must have. Public practice/audit experience would be an asset. This position offers an opportunity to get past the numbers and learn every facet of the organizations accounting process. There is an opportunity for travel within Canada and the United States.
