| Senior Information Security Analyst Senior Information Security Analyst duties will include managing customer Intrusion Detection/Prevention, Log Management and Firewall Devices. Our analysts utilize security threat and vulnerability information to perform deep network and packet analysis to identify customer security breaches. ISA’s provide exceptional customer service and act as security advocates and experts for Seccuris’ clients. Primary requirements for a Seccuris Senior Information Security Analysts include university or college degree in a relevant field or relevant and extensive experience in network administration or support. Ideal candidates must have a pre-existing knowledge of and a passion and interest in security based technologies and malware detection/analysis. The Senior Information Security Analyst will support the Managed Services division by resolving service delivery issues, providing Tier 2 support and training for more junior analysts and act as the technical bridge between the client and sales, and by providing technical design, deployment and new client integration services. Our Senior ISA’s are self starters, with a strong interest in technology and a desire to learn and grow in the Networking/Security field. They have the ability to quickly learn new technologies and concepts. They consistently demonstrate the ability to work independently, lead and positively influence junior analysts and always act in the best interests or Seccuris and Seccuris clients Key Responsibilities •Identify, respond to and triage security events •Assess incident severity and respond appropriately •Configure and support Seccuris and client security devices •Utilize and contribute to internal procedures and technical articles for effective support, escalation and client service •Ensure that all implementations and support utilize best practice security policies that address business needs while protecting vital corporate assets •Manage Change Requests from client issues •Monitor correlation metrics •Security Device Tuning, installation and management •Independent Security Research •Create Unix scripts and tools to automate and develop a variety of configuration and update tasks. And other occasional programming tasks •Report generation and authoring inclusive of incident detail, trending and recommendations specific to client environments •Independently maintain knowledge of threat and vulnerability landscape •Provide project based resource support and assist with integration tasks •Managed Security Service implementation and management for new and existing clients including; device tuning and deployment, scanning, analysis and reporting •Provide on-call support on a rotating schedule with other Senior Analysts The following qualifications are required: •Experience as a Unix or Network System Administrator •Windows NT, 2000, XP knowledge •Strong FreeBSD, Linux, Unix knowledge •Expert Working Knowledge of one or more of the following: •TCP/IP networking •Experience with Intrusion Detection Systems •Experience with firewall systems •Experience with scanning systems and tools •Experience with Command line interfaces •Experience with Packet analysis tools •Expert Working knowledge of Information Security concepts vulnerabilities, exploit and attack behavior •Programming skills: Perl and Shell •Strong interpersonal skills •Well spoken and articulate, with excellent writing abilities. Must be able to communicate technical details a clear, understandable manner •Strong customer service skills •Experience as a leader or trainer in a team environment •Ability to work well under pressure, meeting multiple deadlines •Ability to work independently with minimum supervision •Ability to communicate clearly with technical staff as well as less technical colleagues The following qualifications are wanted: •CISSP Certified •GIAC Certified •MCSE Certified •MS/BS/PHD in Computer Science / Information Systems / Electrical Engineering Additional Information: •This position is located in Winnipeg, Manitoba •Seccuris Managed Services provide security monitoring and response services on a 24*7 basis. Daytime, evening and weekend shift rotation, as well as occasional on call duty may be required. •Candidates will be required to complete security clearance and background checks for Federal Government Reliability Status. •Candidates under consideration will be required to complete a written knowledge examination prior or pursuant to an interview. | |
