| Assistant Manager, Registred Products Temporary 1 year POSITION SUMMARY: The Assistant Manager manages all aspect of the business unit, which includes preparation of budget materials, workforce management, expenses, unit costs and service level. The Assistant Manager will participate in corporate intiatiatives that affects the division or adminstrative processes. DUTIES INCLUDE: •Prepare cost centre budget and establishes corresponding expense, productivity and quality targets. •Manage cost centre budget, including unit cost and service level performance, and take proactive corrective measures as required. •Handle escalated issues and identify improvements to improve service to clients, consultants and field management. •Provide leadership and guidance to front line leaders. •Evaluate and challenge standards by introducing progressive and innovative ways to achieve service level and quality results. •Communicate business change and challenges to department and division leaders. •Recruit resources to support business volumes and secure the necessary tools required for training. •Lead and/or participate in divisional and corporate initiatives. QUALIFICATIONS: •Minimum 4-7 years of leadership experience, preferably in a financial services environment. •Post secondary degree or diploma in business or a relevant field. •Demonstrated proficiency managing service, productivity and cost targets. •Strong oral and written communication skills. •Accuracy, attention to detail and proven ability to meet deadlines. •Proven analytical, problem solving, organizational and decision-making skills. •Strong PC skills and practical experience with Windows XP, Excel and Word. •Travel may be required. | |
