Are you an M&E Estimator currently working for a contractor in North America that you feel is not capitalising on your full potential? Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Professionals are currently being sought across a variety of projects in the booming and beautiful city of Winnipeg Manitoba. If you are currently estimating on large-scale ICI projects and want to broaden your horizons, then this opportunity is for you! My client has worked to build a strong reputation in western Canada’s construction industry. As one of the largest providers of Mechanical and Electrical Construction services in Western Canada, they have the precise combination of knowledge and experience that clients seek when they select a contractor. One will have the ability to be apart of and work with experienced team members that have the capability of tackling any job. Senior M&E Managing Estimator Responsibilities: • Manage the tender response process • Develop and mentor estimating team members • Coordinate estimating efforts with functional departments and construction partners. • Develop and approve estimate plans, budgets, and schedules • Provide expert guidance and reviews of all estimates and studies. • Analyze estimating data and correlate to historical and industry data • Perform high-level confirmation of developed quantities for completeness and reasonableness. • Work with functional departments and service organization to develop service, labor, and material estimates. • Review, approve, and issue recommended project cost, contingency, and escalation to be. presented to the management review team. Qualification: • Demonstrated experience effectively leading multiple estimating efforts concurrently. • Extensive experience managing cost estimating personnel and processes. • Excellent software knowledge including Microsoft suite products and estimating software programs. • Familiarity with a variety of complex estimating concepts, practices, and procedures including conceptual estimating, cost analysis, mathematical skills, and project design scopes is preferred. • Knowledge of civil construction is helpful. • Excellent communication and negotiation skills. • 10+ years of overall ICI experience (Industrial, Commercial and Institutional). • Bachelors or Master's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent.
