| Senior Technical Editor Winnipeg 08jm1001 Position Title: Senior Technical Editor - WINNIPEG Miles Ahead... As one of the largest technical manual publishing organizations in Western Canada, our company leads the transit industry for publishing highly accurate build specific technical manuals. We recognize that our underlying strength is in our staff who is dedicated and highly technical professionals. This position provides leadership and guidance to the Manual Updates Team. Our ideal candidate can effectively manage the technical manual update activities in accordance to the established schedule. Providing detailed feedback and progress reports to management on a regular basis with MS Office software required. The ability to review, edit and critique completed work for content accuracy and conformance to standards is a requirement. Additionally effective leadership and communication skills, while working with other Technical Editors and departmental leaders assist you with investigating content issues to supply appropriate solutions. The candidates will have a strong mechanical aptitude with post secondary education in Technical Communications, Mechanical Technology or several years experience as a leader in a Product Data Management position. As a well organized, detail oriented individual, you have excellent editing skills, the ability to effectively manage competing time lines and deadlines. A sound understanding of engineering standards, product data and document lifecycles, PDM systems such as Teamcenter, and Oracle structured BOMs. As well excellent command of the English language is required. **When applying to this job please put JOB TITLE and JOB # on Subject Line ** | |
