The Maintenance Planner, Mines will provide timely and accurate mechanical, electrical or instrumentation planning of requested work, in concert with the requirements of both operating and maintenance functions. Daily duties include planning resource requirements for repair, modification and restoration work, while ensuring costs are kept within budgeted amounts. Other accountabilities include developing maintenance programs and critical spares list for new assets. The Maintenance Planner is expected to continuously seek improvements to the systems and provide feedback and direction. It is essential to establish good working relationships with both maintenance and operations group in order to succeed. This role will report directly to the Chief Planner, Divisional Support Position Requirements: • Understanding of computerized work management systems; • Understanding of Preventative Maintenance concepts and systems; • Strong computer skills; • Ability to schedule, prioritize and manage functional planning tasks with minimal supervision • Good communication skills. Educational/Experience Requirements: • High School Diploma plus a Red Seal in a recognized industrial trade with 3 years field experience. OR, Engineering Technologist with 3 years experience in Maintenance Supervision or Maintenance Planning in a heavy industrial environment.
