Controller (Accounting Manager)

The Client has an immediate need for a Controller. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Controller will oversee all accounting, financial reporting, and information systems and provide analytical supports to members throughout the organization.


Key Responsibilities

- Leads all finance duties including, but not limited to, monthly financial statements, monthly forecasting, year-end preparation and analysis, annual audit, budgets and balance sheet and bank reconciliations
- Performs variance analyses and ad-hoc reporting
- Oversees accounts receivable/payable and payroll
- Cash management – disbursement and cash receipts
- Supervises a department by providing day-to-day guidance and direction
- Ensures internal controls in place and revise policies and procedures as necessary
- Communicate the goals for the department and ensure that the team is working effectively to fulfill these goals
- Ensures the adherence to all the client’s policies regarding hiring, supervision, evaluation, and termination of staff
- Ensures the development and maintenance of a facility life cycle plan
- Provide key supports to the General Manager and Board of Directors


Requirements and Qualifications

The ideal candidate sought for the role of Controller is a designated accountant (CGA, CA, CMA) or near completion of a program with 3 or more years of progressive experience. He/she will have exceptional interpersonal skills demonstrated by an ability to build strong relationships at all levels within an organization and have a high attention to detail.
